Laurince's trumpet prowess earned him a coveted spot representing Haiti in the 2000 International Trumpet Guild (ITG) competition. This milestone marked the beginning of his illustrious career.

In 2002, Laurince founded three musical ensembles: a gospel band, a brass band, and a jazz quintet. This bold move enabled him to showcase his vast musical repertoire. His compositions have garnered numerous accolades, including the 2005 Best Male Vocalist Award from the Haitian Music Awards (HMA).
Humanitarian and Ambassador
Following the devastating 2012 earthquake in Haiti, Laurince released the poignant single "I Know Haiti Will Rise Again." This powerful anthem earned him national exposure on BET's "Slice of Life" and Black Enterprise's television show. The song's impact was further amplified by interviews on BET, MTV, and NBC6.
Awards and Recognition
Laurince's gospel band, The True Worshipers, was nominated for Best Gospel Group in South Florida by the International Reggae and World Music Award (IRAWMA) in 2013. He received a Proclamation from the Mayor of North Miami Beach Mr. Andre Pierre, declaring October 27th "Jonathan Laurince's Day" in 2012.
Recent Projects and Ventures
In 2020, Laurince released the remix of his fourth CD project, "Gras Pou Haiti" (Grace for Haiti), featuring a new version of the Haitian national anthem, "La Dessalinienne." He is currently working on his fifth project, "One Thing," which will showcase his latest singles, "Now The Time Has Come" and "I Will Bless The Lord." He released his first Christmas album on 2019 entitled “The Christmas Sound” and his first trumpet solo project “The Trumpet Sound”. He also relesed two wonderful live recording praise and worship album “Real Worship” and “The Worship Experience”. These songs have garnered significant success in Europe, Africa, and the United States.
In addition to his music, Laurince has embarked on an exciting entrepreneurial journey with the launch of his shoe brand, Immunity Footwear, in 2022. This innovative venture combines art, music, and fashion, reflecting Laurince's passion for creativity and self-expression.
A Minister of Music
Laurince currently resides in Miami, Florida, where he serves as a worship leader at his local church. He continues to produce inspirational smooth jazz music with his jazz quintet ensemble.
